Introduction
BentoBox creates websites that are a reflection of their physical restaurant. These websites reflect a restaurant’s brand while utilizing the latest best practices in user experience.
Process
Each website required different approaches and challenges. For every website, I would work closely with the designated onboarding manager. They acted as the mediator between me and the restaurant owner throughout the whole process.
Communicate was key in order to understand the restaurant owner’s vision for their website. This could range from meeting in person to establish trust between the parties, touring their restaurant to see the physical details down to the tile design, eating a meal together to understand their menu or simply through phone calls to touch base.
Although each website had different approaches, the key goals stayed the same :

Information is easily scannable, front and center
The website is mobile-friendly and responsive to all devices
Photo-centric design that is optimized for the web
Certified to WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards
The website invokes the restaurants brand
Final Design Example
ATLA, a trendy contemporary Mexican restaurant in NYC.
The restaurant owner provided us with a beautiful restaurant and existing marketing branding. They wanted us to utilize their space, through photography, and create animated illustrations to design a contemporary and fun website much like their restaurant.
